The Department of Civil Engineering, JMIETI, Radaur, organized an Expert lecture by Dr. Ashish Kumar Tiwari (Research Associate, IIT Roorkee) on the topic "Understanding Premature and Rapic Corrosion in RC Structure" on 31 August 2026.

Site Visit to the Construction Site Swatantar Public School

The Department of Civil Engineering, JMIETI, Radaur, organized a site visit to the construction site of Swatantar Public School, Chahron on 26 August 2026.

The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to various construction activities, including slab casting, beam reinforcement bar binding, the use of fly ash bricks, the slump test, and different grades of concrete.

Site Visit to the Construction Site of Hospital and Resort

The Department of Civil Engineering organized a site visit to the construction site of Kavya Resort and Hospital on 25 August 2026, providing students with valuable practical exposure to ongoing construction activities.

During the visit, students gained hands-on knowledge of column casting, slab casting, and beam reinforcement bar binding, thereby enhancing their understanding of construction practices and techniques.

Technical Quiz

On 29 April 2026, Ultratech organised a quiz named Stimulus in which all students from Civil Engg. Deptt participated.

Site Visit

On 28 April 2026, Civil Engineering students visited Swatantar Public School located in Village Chahron, Yamuna Nagar as part of their academic exposure. During the visit, the students gained practical insights into foundation work, design mix, and footing construction, enhancing their understanding of fundamental engineering practices.

Workshop

One day workshop on “Centre of Excellence for Quality Control and Material Testing” was organized at JMIETI, Radaur for students of Government Polytechnic, Umri. Various experiments were conducted for 2nd and 3rd year Civil Engineering students.

Survey Camp

Our Civil Engineering Department wrapped up an incredible 7-day Survey Camp in Mussoorie (09–15 Nov 2025)!
Students gained hands-on experience in Fly Levelling, Plane Table Surveying, Auto Level, and other essential surveying skills.

Workshop

The Department of Civil Engineering successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Introduction to BIM,” conducted by Mr. Saurabh Suman, Project Manager at Suncity Projects Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon. The session provided valuable insights into Building Information Modeling and its growing significance in the industry.
